1. Community Outreach Program
Crucial in the whole project implementation of Onesimo Foundation, Inc. is its community outreach program. All year round, staff and volunteers in partnership with some local churches, conducts regular outreach work around the neighbourhood of its existing centres in Payatas, Tondo, Letre, Mendez, Frisco and Philcoa. Its primary objective is to establish rapport with all prospective Work Camp candidate/trainee through friendship evangelism and community service including visits to their families. Onesimo also conducts outreach work in other urban poor communities in Metro Manila and areas where street children proliferates. While the urban poor youth are the primary target participants of the outreach program, their parents/guardians automatically becomes its secondary participants. Staff and Volunteers therefore takes every opportunity to be able to share the love of Christ to them by all possible means.
2. Work Camp

Among all activities, the Work Camp is the most exciting of all yet the most crucial in Onesimo’s attempt to intervene in the lives of Asia’s urban poor youth. It is usually a two-week sheltered workshop held regularly every month of July at Camp Rock in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, a famous tourist spot in the Philippines. While it is designed for the participants to greatly enjoy the activity and at least experience what it is to be free from the worries of daily survival away from the harsh realities that has trapped them for years and their families, it is structured in such a way that it will have lasting life-changing impact on them. Through its various structured learning activities, workshops and teaching sessions, Onesimo hopes to see that participants will come to know themselves better, experience love and acceptance, appreciate the value of life itself, experience healings from their past traumas and clearly understand God’s love and concern for them.
ONESIMO conducts home visits to the parents during recruitment phase to establish rapport with them and seek permission to allow their children to join the work camp.
